In a conformation training class at BCKC, handlers and dogs new to the sport can expect to learn the basic skills of handling, including gating, and stacking. Experienced handers will have the opportunity to practice and perfect already-acquired skills. Classes provide the opportunity for socialization for the dogs, as well.
Training in a BCKC conformation class has many advantages. The instructors at BCKC are experienced and successful handlers themselves, most of whom are still active in the show ring. BCKC conformation classes offer a variety of instructional techniques. Dogs and handlers of all breeds benefit from the wide range of expertise provided by the BCKC instructors. Instructors vary from class to class, providing a variety of techniques and approaches. BCKC offers a convenient conformation class schedule. Classes are offered throughout the year on a weekly basis and are “drop-in;” no prior registration is necessary. Fees are affordable, and BCKC members are offered a discount. All classes take place in the spacious training room of the BCKC Clubhouse, featuring a non-slip floor and air-conditioning during the summer months.
