As part of its commitment to the surrounding canine community, the Beaver County Kennel Club participates often in educational and outreach events that uphold its mission. Club members volunteer at such events, sharing their expertise and experience. Events include both annual and occasional events.
One of the club’s most popular annual community events is the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day. RDOD celebrates dog owners and canine companions, with particular emphasis on responsible pet ownership. The one-day event takes place outdoors and is typically hosted in late spring or early fall. It features a variety of family-friendly activities and demonstrations, as well as Canine Good Citizen testing, Trick Dog testing, microchipping services, rabies vaccinations, and dog-related vendors. Responsible Dog Ownership Day is a free event. Families and their dogs are welcome.
